My story, in my own words.

OFT is designed around the development of the whole person. Read the complete approved OFT biography below.

Overall Fitness Training (OFT)

Mind. Body. Spirit.

Overall Fitness Training (OFT) is built on a simple belief: a person’s well-being is about more than the body. It is about the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with people from many different walks of life. From teenagers and young adults to married couples, professionals, parents, athletes, and older adults, I have learned that every person has a story, every person has challenges, and every person has the potential to grow.

My role is to meet people where they are, listen to them, understand what they are facing, and help them move forward.

Whether the goal is becoming healthier, building confidence, getting stronger, improving relationships, finding direction, developing professionally, growing spiritually, or simply becoming a better version of yourself, I want people to know that they do not have to navigate that journey alone.

Ministry & Spiritual Counseling

For 15 years, I served as a licensed minister and co-pastor at Houston Apostolic Church, under the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI).

My ministry experience has included marriage and individual counseling, outreach, prayer, spiritual guidance, youth ministry, teaching, public speaking, and one-on-one Bible studies.

One of the most important parts of my ministry has been simply being present with people.

I have spent countless hours sitting with individuals—including older adults—listening to their stories and giving them the time and attention they deserve. Sometimes that has meant counseling. Sometimes it has meant praying together. Sometimes it has meant opening the Bible and studying it together. And sometimes it has simply meant being there, listening, encouraging, and helping someone remember that they are not alone.

That personal connection has become one of the foundations of how I coach.

I don’t believe people should be treated like a problem to solve. People need to be heard, understood, encouraged, and supported.

Life Coaching, Career & Purpose

Life coaching is at the heart of what I do.

I have worked with teenagers, young adults, married couples, single individuals, older adults, entrepreneurs, professionals, and people working in demanding corporate environments.

People come to different seasons of life with different needs. Some need confidence. Some need direction. Some need encouragement. Some need accountability. Others are trying to rebuild after disappointment, make an important decision, improve a relationship, or figure out what comes next.

I help people slow down, think clearly, recognize their strengths, identify what may be holding them back, and take practical steps toward where they want to go.

Career & Purpose

For people of faith, I believe career decisions can involve a deeper question than simply, “What do I want to do?”

It can also be, “What would God have me do?”

A career can provide income and stability, but it can also become an expression of a person’s gifts, abilities, experiences, values, and purpose.

Whether someone is starting a career, changing careers, pursuing advancement, starting a business, or entering a new season after a long career, I help them think through their options and consider how their abilities and ambitions fit with their values, faith, and sense of calling.

Fitness & Wellness

My fitness background spans more than a decade of professional training, including 10 years at LA Fitness, where I accumulated thousands of hands-on training sessions working with people of different ages, abilities, goals, and fitness levels, along with private and in-home training.

I hold certifications and professional education through NCCPT, ISSA, and NASM, with more than eight certifications and areas of specialized education in fitness and wellness.

My experience includes strength training, resistance training, functional fitness, corrective exercise, mobility, balance, conditioning, nutrition, bodybuilding, and exercise programming.

I stay aware of where the fitness and wellness field is going and what people are looking for today—from strength and functional fitness to mobility, balance, healthy aging, weight management, mental well-being, and practical lifestyle changes.

I also understand the growing use of fitness trackers and other technology to help people monitor activity and progress. But I believe technology should support the relationship—not replace it.

A program can be written on paper. A person needs to be understood.

That is why I focus on the individual: their goals, their current abilities, their lifestyle, their challenges, and what will realistically help them make progress.

Youth Development & Athletic Coaching

Working with young people has been another important part of my experience.

I have helped teenagers and young adults develop confidence, discipline, accountability, character, goal-setting skills, personal responsibility, and direction, while also working with them physically through strength training, conditioning, track and field, movement skills, and athletic development.

For young athletes, the goal is not simply to make them stronger or faster. It is to help them become stronger people.

I want young people to understand that discipline in one area of life can strengthen them in another. The confidence developed through physical achievement can carry into school, relationships, work, and everyday life.

55+ Fitness & Active Aging

Working with older adults has given me a special appreciation for what fitness can mean later in life.

I have worked with individuals approximately 50 to 85 years old, including hundreds of individual sessions and programs within 55+ communities.

My focus has included strength, balance, mobility, flexibility, functional movement, conditioning, nutrition, and healthy aging.

I have worked with people facing challenges such as arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis, reduced bone density, balance difficulties, mobility limitations, deconditioning, and recovery following physical setbacks or injuries.

For many older adults, fitness isn’t about looking like an athlete. It’s about being able to get up, move comfortably, maintain strength, stay independent, participate in life, and feel confident in their abilities.

That is why active aging and functional fitness are so important to me.

A Coach for Every Stage of Life

I believe one of the greatest strengths I bring to coaching is the ability to connect with people at very different stages of life.

I have worked with people from the teenage years through adulthood and into the later years of life. I have worked with people with different backgrounds, education levels, careers, personalities, experiences, and fitness abilities.

You don’t have to already be fit.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.

You don’t have to come from a particular background.

You don’t have to know exactly what you need.

You simply have to be willing to begin.

I will meet you where you are, listen to your story, and help you identify the next step.

For one person, that may mean beginning an exercise program. For another, it may mean rebuilding confidence. For someone else, it may mean working through a relationship, finding career direction, becoming more disciplined, reconnecting with their faith, or simply having someone who will listen.

My experience is broad, but my approach is personal.

Group Training, Education & Public Speaking

Along with individual coaching, I have experience with group fitness, group life coaching, youth programs, community education, equipment instruction, nutrition and wellness education, spiritual teaching, and public speaking.

I have taught classes in 55+ communities and worked with groups on fitness, exercise equipment, nutrition, health, wellness, physical development, and mental focus.

Whether working with one person or a group, my goal is the same: to educate, encourage, connect, and help people take meaningful steps forward.

The OFT Philosophy

OFT brings together three areas of human development:

Mind

Learning, reading, studying, thinking, gaining knowledge, developing clarity, and continuing to grow.

Body

Exercise, strength, mobility, nutrition, conditioning, healthy habits, and physical well-being.

Spirit

Faith, prayer, spiritual growth, biblical understanding, and a deeper relationship with God.

I believe these areas influence one another.

A healthier body can give you greater confidence and energy. A stronger mind can help you make better decisions. A stronger spiritual foundation can give you direction, meaning, and hope.

OFT is about developing the whole person.

My Mission

My mission is to help people become stronger in mind, healthier in body, deeper in spirit, and more purposeful in life.

I want the people I work with to feel that they have been heard, valued, encouraged, challenged, and supported.

I want to help people recognize strengths they may not see in themselves, overcome obstacles that may be holding them back, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want—and, for those who share my faith, toward the life they believe God is calling them to live.

I bring experience, education, training, faith, and practical knowledge to the process. But perhaps most importantly, I bring a genuine desire to see people do well, grow, and become more of who they were created to be.

Whether you are young or old, highly educated or still finding your way, highly trained or just getting started, highly successful or facing a difficult season, there is a place for you here.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin.

You just have to be willing to begin.

Mind. Body. Spirit.

Become Fit. Become Strong. Become Whole.
